[Troubleshoot] 2nd RAM slot is not working!

Hello members,

I am using a quite old Zebronics 945 Motherboard with an Intel core 2 duo, 4 Gigs of RAM.

Here’s my problem. When I place both RAM sticks (2x 2GB DDR2 Hynix) in the two available slots of the motherboard. Once I boot it up, the computer won’t boot. I get no signal. But, if I put a RAM in the first slot, the computer boots perfectly.

I attempted putting the working RAM into the other slot but did not get success.

What can be the problem?

Please help!

You can clean the slots with alcohol and a cotton swab. Clean the ram gently, take an eraser and gently brush downwards those copper connectors and you can fix it back, this is the way most of the technicians clean the ram connectors, when they get struck with the moisture or connecting issues…

I once faced the same problem. But the problem was actually in the mobo, not in the RAM.

So is there any repair option for motherboards?
