[Question] Which PCI-E slot is Best for Wifi Card?

Hello members,

So I just bought a PCIe Wi-Fi card that supposedly should work fine on all PCIe slots, however my motherboard (Tomahawk Max) has 1 x16 slot (graphics card), 3 x1 slots, and a PCIe4 slot. The Wi-Fi card works fine under the x1 slot however it’s too close to my graphics card and screwing the side in makes it touch the fans. I’m trying it on the PCIe4 slot however it’s pretty slow for some reason.

It is not a PCIe Gen 4 slot. Just to clarify.

In order from top to bottom, your slots are:-

PCIe 3.0 x16

PCIe 3.0 x1

PCIe 3.0 x1

PCIe 2.0 x 16

PCIe 3.0 x1

The long slot there is the 2.0 slot. It is significantly slower than the 3.0 slots. So put your Wifi card in the x1 slot.

in my opinion, use the one at bottom, the lower one. so that its will be more spacious for your main gpu up in its slot. as they all are same speed slots, it wont matter much.
