Old whatsapp versions vulnerable to hacking using GIF

If you haven’t updated your whatsapp in a while then you should consider doing it. By sending an infected GIF, hackers are gaining control over phones. If you ever receive a corrupted GIF or File then you should not open it or share it with your friends as they might get risk of being hacked. Opening GIF includes the risk of app being crashed or worse could be a hacker gaining access to all of your data. The vulnerability, however, exists only in WhatsApp’s Android based platform. "The exploit works well until WhatsApp version 2.19.230. The vulnerability is official patched in WhatsApp version 2.19.244.
