It has only been a few days since Lenovo announced that the ThinkPad X1 Nano would feature the Core i7-1180G7. Thankfully, someone has benchmarked the processor on Geekbench, offering a few insights into its performance and specifications. According to Geekbench, the Core i7-1180G7 has a 2.19 GHz base clock that rises to a maximum of 4.59 GHz. The processor offers four cores and eight threads, along with 12 MB of L3 cache with a 15 W TDP and an Iris Xe Graphics GPU with 96 Execution Units (EUs).
The Core i7-1180G7 scored an impressive 1,542 in Geekbench 5.3.1 single-core, putting it in line with other Tiger Lake chipsets like the Core i7-1165G7 and Core i7-1185G7. Similarly, its multi-core score of 5,280 is only about 11% down on the Core i7-1185G7, despite its clock speed and TDP disadvantages. The Core i7-1180G7 also averages about 6.5% higher in both benchmarks than the Core i7-1160G7. The Core i7-1180G7 will be arriving in compact machines into 2021.
